  • For his part, Iran's top diplomat said the intensification of the Israel's crimes would further complicate the situation in Palestine

Dubai, UAE–Condemning Israel’s relentless bombardment of the Gaza Strip, Qatar’s top diplomat has urged Western countries to exert pressure on the Tel Aviv regime to immediately stop its attacks against Palestinians.

According to Mehr News Agency, Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held talks over the phone with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and spoke of the escalating violence.

The Iranian and Qatari foreign ministers also highlighted the importance of more consultation among Muslim countries to shore up support for Palestine.

Al Thani was quoted as saying that his country has always supported the Palestinian people’s rights.

.All Muslim countries are duty-bound to support and defend the Palestinian people’s rights, Amir-Abdollahian said in this telephone conversation.

The Iranian foreign minister warned that the intensification of the Israeli regime’s crimes would further complicate the situation in Palestine and the entire region.

Israel launched deadly strikes on the densely-populated Gaza Strip on Saturday after the Palestinian Hamas resistance group waged a surprise attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, against the usurping entity.

Hamas said that its operation came in response to Israel’s violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East al-Quds and growing settler violence.

The Gaza Health Ministry said 704 Palestinians, including 143 children and 105 women, have been killed by Israeli strikes.

Iran says the Palestinian operation is a natural and legitimate response to the Tel Aviv regime’s crimes against the oppressed nation.
