Saudi foreign minister reviews regional issues with GCC Secretary General

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah reviewed regional issues with the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Mohammed Al-Budaiwi on Tuesday.

Prince Faisal congratulated Al-Budaiwi on taking over as the GCC Secretary General and wished him success. 

During the meeting, the two discussed strengthening the process of joint GCC action and reviewed GCC issues of common concern. 

Earlier on Monday, Al-Budaiwi held talks with Russian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sergey Kozlov in Saudi capital.

Albudaiwi underscored the Gulf’s keenness on consolidating the strategic dialogue between the GCC and Russia in line with the memorandum of understanding they signed in 2011.

The officials discussed Gulf-Russian relations and cooperation between them to achieve security and stability.

They also discussed the latest regional and international developments of interest.
