Saudi Helicopter Co to buy six Airbus choppers for its fleet

The Helicopter Company, owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), will buy six ACH160 multi-purpose helicopter from Airbus in 2023.

According to a statement posted on social media, the new ACH160 is one of the world’s most technologically advanced helicopters with a new rotor blade design that results in significantly reduced noise.

The six new ACH160 helicopters will join the fleet in 2023.

The new acquisition comes in line with the firm’s aims to deliver an improved environmental footprint and lower fuel consumption.

The PIF established THC as part of its strategy to activate new sectors in Saudi Arabia that support the realization of Vision 2030 and generate long-term commercial returns. THC is the Kingdom’s first and only commercial helicopter operator and has been operating since mid-2019.
