"The event focuses on transitioning the energy sector, demonstrating how strategic investments can foster prosperity without solely relying on fossil fuels," he adds, pointing out the importance of the US$30 billion climate-focused investment fund recently announced by the UAE, supporting international climate action efforts in service of humanity.

"The Summit acts as a nexus, uniting government officials, international organizations, business magnates, community institutions, scholars, and innovators. This collective aims to set trends, foresee changes, and proactively tackle challenges with innovative solutions," Al Olama adds.

Stressing that “we are in a race against time” on issues from climate change and biodiversity loss to education and gender equality, he calls on Member States to “put money where our promises are” — supporting sustainable development with appropriate regulations, financing, capacity-building and verification.

She adds that the Ministry’s participation in this workshop forms part of its commitment to fostering regional and international cooperation and facilitating the exchange of expertise with partners, thus contributing to establishing a sustainable national anti-money laundering ecosystem.

"The UAE believes in the importance of joint action, integration of efforts, and promotion of economic development for countries facing development challenges and affected by irregular migration, according to a framework of joint planning with various international partners," adds Al Hashimy.

"The UAE shares a vision with the European Union to achieve comprehensive economic prosperity in the Indo-Pacific," adds Al Kaabi while highlighting the increasing importance of the region, its significant population and GDP, and the need for cooperation to address geo-economic challenges.

"The country continues to grow in various sectors such as the energy sector, including oil, gas, and renewable energy, which contribute significantly to the growth and prosperity of the economy.
