Turkish exports to Africa exceed $21bn during 2022

Turkey announced on Wednesday that Turkish exports to African countries achieved a record levels during 2022.

Ankara, Turkiye – Turkey announced on Wednesday that Turkish exports to African countries achieved a record levels during 2022, exceeding $21 billion.

In a statement, the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly pointed out that Turkish exports to African countries during 2022 increased by 12.3 percent, compared to 2021.

The data indicated that Turkish exports value to African countries during 2022 amounted to $21.8 billion, noting that the share of the African countries from Turkish exports during the same year amounted to 8.6 percent from the total exports to abroad.

The assembly added that Turkey’s exports value to European Union amounted to $93.6 billion, $32.8 billion to Middle East and $21.8 billion to Africa.

In addition, Egypt ranked first among African countries importing Turkish products with a value of $3.9 billion, Morocco second with $3 billion, Libya third with $2.4 billion, Algeria fourth with $1.9 billion, and South Africa fifth with $1.6 billion.
