Bahrain signs pact with Cisco

Bahrain ropes in US multinational technology company Cisco to build the infrastructure of the kingdom’s government data network.

Bahrain has roped in US multinational technology company Cisco to build the infrastructure of Bahrain’s government data network. 

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the visit of Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the United States.

The Chief Executive of the Bahrain Information and eGovernment Authority, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, said that the agreement with Cisco reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to remaining up to date with the latest technological trends and developments.  

Al Qaed also emphasised Cisco’s credentials in the field of telecommunications and other high technology services and noted that the signing of the agreement is part of the Kingdom’s comprehensive development agenda.
