Marafy is set to become a vibrant urban center located to the north of Jeddah, offering a stunning waterfront reminiscent of London’s iconic landscape. This venture is spearheaded by ROSHN Group, with strong support from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).
Marafy’s core attraction is its impressive 11-kilometer (approximately 7-mile) man-made canal, which is designed to bring the marine environment into the heart of this historic city. One of the standout features of Marafy will be its integrated inter-modal transport system, ensuring convenient connectivity for the waterside districts and the wider Jeddah area. This comprehensive system will include water taxis, buses, and a subway network, allowing residents and visitors to move effortlessly within the city. Marafy will also offer a direct link to the King Abdulaziz International Airport, enhancing accessibility and connectivity for travelers.
The city will follow the ongoing construction of Neom on the Red Sea coast, spearheaded by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Neom is envisioned as a catalyst for technological advancements and economic transformation, with a substantial budget of $500 billion.
