Manama, Bahrain–The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced that the monthly issue of the Sukuk Al Salam Islamic securities has been oversubscribed by 372%.

Subscriptions worth $426 million were received for the $114.36 million issue, which carries maturity of 91 days.

The expected return on the issue, which begins on January 10 and matures on April 10 is 6.35%, equivalent to the previous issue on December 13, 2023.

The Sukuk Al Salam is issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of Bahrain.

This is issue No.273 (BH000A881796) of the short-term Sukuk Al Salam series.

Last week, the CBB said that the monthly issue of the short-term Islamic leasing bonds, Sukuk Al-Ijara, has been oversubscribed by 548%.

Subscriptions worth $380.31 million were received for the $69.14 million issue, which carries a maturity of 182 days.

The expected return on the issue, which begins on January 4 and matures on July 4, is 6.31% compared to 6.38% on the previous issue of December 7, 2023.

The Sukuk Al-Ijara are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
